Michael Nadras is a nice little restaurant in the heart of Chiswick, located just off the the high street which makes for an ideal lunch spot after or before taking advantage of the many shops Chiswick has on offer. The finest seasonal ingredients are used for their unique menu creations that come at reasonable prices – we chose the 3 course lunch menu at £26. From their winter menu we chose the confit duck ravioli with duck consomme, wild mushrooms & baby sorrel (picture above)
and the tuna tartare & salmon ceviche with chilli pickled cucumber, mixed cress and salmon crackling for starters. Both dishes were well presented, fresh and perfectly matched.
For mains we chose the roasted pork fillet with suckling pig belly, braised chicory, fennel salad & pickled grapes
and the lamb rump, braised neck & breaded sweetbreads with root vegetable dauphinoise and shallot puree. The lamb as well as the pork were tender and perfectly complemented by the side dishes.
For desert I had the caramelised braeburn apples and pear wiliams in kataifi with pistachio ice cream.
What a nice way to spend a civilised lunch just off Chiswick high street!
